I’ve mentioned the Celetania beta a couple times here recently. The lotto machine never pulled my number so I didn’t make it in the beta myself but the newsletter arrived today with the announcement that the 4X MMORTS space game has gone gold!
Celetania goes live this Friday the 13th. The client will be free to download and comes with 14 days of free play time. Also on the announcement linked above you’ll find a nice video interview from GigaTV (Deutcsh with English sub-titles) with a Vulcando developer describing Celetania and its features.
Not sure if Celetania is up my alley or not, but I’ll give it props here because well, I like underdogs and I’ve never seen it mentioned anywhere else yet. Most importantly, Celetania, along with Global Agenda and APB, deliberately breaks away from being Yet Another DikuMMOG in nearly every way imaginable and that alone is worth supporting!

Thanks for reminding me of this! I definitely need to check it out. I’m all for devs trying new things out of the DIKU mold.
I’m still not sold on subs, but I’ll play the trial to see if it’s good design.
