Wow, I've never had any problems like that other than the occasional hitching/lag. I do get really sick of getting completely stuck trying to walk over a railroad and other tiny terrain object though.

This is great to hear. I actually love 2142 as a game design, but as a piece of software I couldn't tolerate it.

Between the constant crashes, keys unbinding themselves, corrupted settings, Titan lag, etc I could never play the game for the flaws of the software.

This game serves as a good reminder to me that we're making not only games, but software, and they have to function on both levels.

Maybe I'll give it another shot.

I for one am overjoyed that EA is continuing support for both these great FPS games. Putting the CTD issues and "modified content errors" aside, these both have brought me hours upon hours of joy, and also pain. BF2's vulnerability to LMG hacks has been very dissapointing though. As soon as a patch fixes this, the hacker sites break it wide open again, while punkbuster is more interested in ping violations and foul language than stopping hackers using cheats and aimbots. My outcry is probably simular to many when I say, "Fix the basic issues before worrying about additional content!" Not to say I don't enjoy new maps and game-modes. Just my 2 cents :)
